Real Celebration: A Colorado Fall Wedding

A wedding day on the first day of fall
in the mountains of Colorado.
Snow threatened to blanket the day
but the only white witnessed by all
was the beautiful Judd Waddell dress.
When the bride went to pick out the dress,
she happened upon his trunk show
and was fitted by the talented designer himself.
He even sketched her in the dress that very day
as she stood in the bridal boutique.
The location of the ceremony took place at the
great garden of the bride's parents friends and neighbors.
Followed by the reception at the home of the bride's parents,
setting a personal and welcoming tone for all those invited.
Escorting the bride and bridal party from her parent's home
was none other than a traditional bag-piper.
Guests surely knew the bride was on her way.

Small, personalized touches abounded.
Chairs wrapped in ribbons.
Fence posts adorned with flowers.
Sheperd's hooks waiting with candles
to guide guests during the evening hours.

A canon awaited at the ceremony site for a three shot salute
upon the exchange of vows and the pronouncement of the Mr. and Mrs.
Guests braved the cold for a personal
and unique outdoor ceremony site.

The new Mr. and Mrs. were ushered from the ceremony
to the reception via golf cart. A fun ride for the bride and groom
but quite a jog for the photographer,
Steve Worth of NYC, capturing the shot.

Bar menus, programs, dessert teasers, table numbers, escort cards
welcome bags, cocktail napkins and more
all carried the wedding colors, fonts and motifs.
Aubergine and Willow were the colors leading the event,
from start to finish, setting the tone for an afternoon wedding
and evening celebration on the first day of fall.
All stationery items were designed and printed by

Colorful dessert delights were imagined
and created by Kurrant Catering and Eat Dessert First.
Guests were entertained by not one, but two bands.
Black Dog Crossing provided pre-ceremony and cocktail hour
bluegrass music and The Spin Band got people moving with their
party, rock and soul music.

Happy Anniversary Mr. and Mrs. Jones!
